BLACKBERRY COTTAGE IS NO LONGER OPEN FOR B & B. Blackberry Cottage is a cosy, modern thatched cottage, offering 2 quality double bedrooms ( 1 with en-suite shower room, 1 with adjacent bathroom ). There is also 1 single room. You will find comfortable beds with cotton sheets, fresh flowers, classy furnishings and toiletries, a good shower, a hearty breakfast including organic and local produce, and a warm welcome. Try my home-made blackberry jelly! This is ideal accommodation for anyone who wishes to explore Hampshire's array of historic houses, gardens, towns and idyllic countryside. Walkers are welcome as the cottage is actually situated on the Clarendon Way footpath and just a mile from the Test Way and famous River Test. Perfect for fishermen too. Arrangements can be made locally for walkers' bags to be forwarded. I have off-road parking and storage for bicycles. King's Somborne is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and is one of Hampshire's prettiest villages with a stream running down the centre, lined by an abundance of thatched cottages. There are a thatched pub, shop, post office, and a bus stop within easy walking distance. The beautiful cities of Winchester and Salisbury are within easy reach, as are the New Forest, Broadlands (Romsey) the home of Mountbatten, The Museum of Army Flying (Middle Wallop), and Southampton.
